I'm in Coventry but can't go until later. I will be at the computer alot though, so if it does become an online thing, I might be able to grab tickets. Maybe see some of you there later (or later this week). Both my Prince friends are out of action. One is in Berlin and the other is about to have all of their wisdom teeth yanked out.

I'm in Cov now leaving in 10mins max..if u want a lift you're welcome I will be driving back tonite...if u defo can't go good luck with the tix get a spare 1 4 me and I'll give u a lift back if u need it...

Thanks that's really kind of you. I can't leave at the moment unfortunately. I'm hoping I can come down later on. (I'm waiting on a few things. I might have to wait til tomorrow/Friday). But yeah, If I can come down later today and they do sell them, I will grab you one.

After missing out on Cure tickets and last nights nonsense (my own fault),just got my ticket to Janelle Monae in Brixton, that will help ease the pain a bit.

Not sure what to do about tonight, at work in Earls Court and will finish at around 3, but with the tube strike going on, it just makes all of this a really expensive taxi ride around London. Plus the weather ain't helping either.

However, the idea of a meet up in Camden sounds tempting.
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Prince wants to charge $10 for his shows in London

With the amount of coverage they've given the show tonight, a free-for-all seems a crazy idea. It would be mobbed.

I'm at the age where I'd prefer a ticketing frenzy online then at least you know you are getting in or not. I don't fancy spending all night after work standing in the cold, wet Camden high st on the off chance.

You know he's play there tonight though, if you want to go down there I imagine you'd get lucky. Press and all will be swarming arond. But definetly take a mobile!

edit - my guess is tonight will be similar to last night and we'll get a real annoucement about shows with tickets later. Another day of looking at twitter notifications every two seconds and F5!

With this coverage, I reckon there is probably a queue there already...great publicity stunt though

Me too, It seems like a purely promotional tour, maybe thats why they are not going outside of london because of the logistics and cost of moving around, kinda makes sense if thats the case.

Small venue +10$ tickets = sad

No hope of getting in.

I really hope he wants to make money on this "tour' and it's not purely PR based for the album.

At that price per ticket, he could sell out a venue of 2000 upwards, Indigo would be perfect! I hope when they say they will work their way up this is what they mean

It makes no difference if its $10 or $100 if Prince sells tickets to tonight for EB it'll sell out instantly.

Going to do a bit of work and then will look at the bus situation, might just get a bus down for the fun of it, only thing that can happen is that it will be sold out and I will have to bus it home...

Don't worry, there will be formally announced shows with actual tickets available in due course, I'm sure.

What amazes me is, What was the actual point of the Press conference?

It seems to have served no purpose at all because they havent given any details away, apart from usless facts about prince being good at Ping Pong, and things we already knew.

Surely a press conference they release details to the press. Very strange!

Me too! Patience Squirrel, patience. All good things come to those who wait. Alternatively, get one of your 200 employees to stand in for you and get your ass over to Camden!

If a director can't take a half day because he feels like it something is wrong with the world! Surely those 200 could keep things running? Or could the board give you the boot?

Wow. The interesting thing there is No 15:

There was a story last week saying he was taking a $22m (£13m) legal action against 22 internet users who allegedly posted copies of his live performances online. In response to that he simply said "Nobody sues their fans", before adding: "I have some bootlegs of Lianne [La Havas] but I wouldn't sell them. But fans sharing music with each other, that's cool."

This is huge, isn't it?

Yes it is huge. A huge pile of horse shit. If he was only bothered about people selling why did he shut down all the sites with people sharing and not shut down the sites with people selling?

I wouldn't expect him to stop threatening legal action against people posting boots online based on this.
